How AI Photograph handles your photos
AI Photograph is provided to you by Stars Behavioral Health Group and made by KPCS. It runs in Stars Behavioral Health Group's own Microsoft Azure environment. This notice explains what happens to your photos and your information.

What the app does
You add one to four photos of yourself. The app checks that they are suitable, then asks an AI image model to create professional portrait variations in the lighting setup you choose. You decide whether to download a result. Nothing is shared unless you choose to.
What you provide
- One to four photos that show only you.
- Your choices for the portrait, such as the lighting setup and what you're wearing.
- If you adjust the written brief, the text you type. It is used only for your portrait and is not logged.
- If you add a piece of clothing of your own: the description you type, or one photo of the garment. Use a photo of the garment on its own, or one where you are wearing it — not a photo of someone else.
Where your photos are processed
Your photos are sent to Azure OpenAI in Stars Behavioral Health Group's Azure subscription for three steps: a photo check (one person, face visible, usable quality), creating the portrait variations, and comparing each result with your first photo for likeness. Adding a piece of clothing of your own sends its description, or its photo, the same way: to decide what the garment is, and — if you are wearing it in the photo — to redraw the garment on its own.
The AI models process your photos in the United States (Azure US data zone). Microsoft applies content filters and may keep requests for a limited time to detect abuse, as described in Microsoft's Azure OpenAI terms. Microsoft does not use this data to train its models.
What is never stored
AI Photograph never saves your photos or the portraits it creates: not on disk, not in logs, not in analytics. They exist in memory only while your generation runs and leave the app as your download. When you close or reload the tab, they are gone. The clothing you add stays in this browser only, so it is there next time; signing out removes it, and so does someone else signing in on this browser.
What is kept
To apply the daily limit, the app counts the generations each person makes per day. The count is kept in memory under a pseudonymous key, a code derived from your account that does not reveal who you are, and starts fresh at midnight.
For licensing, KPCS receives one record per generation: the pseudonymous key, the date and the number of portraits delivered. KPCS never receives your name, email address, photos or portraits.
Signing in
You sign in with your Stars Behavioral Health Group Microsoft account. The app keeps an encrypted session cookie that ends when you sign out, or after 8 hours at the latest.
AI-generated portraits
Portraits are created by AI and can differ from how you really look. Please use one only if it represents you faithfully. Downloaded files carry content credentials (C2PA) that identify them as AI-generated.
